Facade remakes that bring a building back.
Masonry, cornices, storefront systems and full exterior remakes for commercial and mixed-use buildings. One team, one written price, built to last another hundred years.
The face of the building is the first thing a tenant sees.
A tired facade costs an owner rent. Crumbling mortar, a rusted cornice and a dated storefront tell every passerby the building is not cared for, and they keep good tenants away.
We restore what is worth saving and replace what is not. Brick is cleaned and repointed, ornament is repaired or remade, and the street level gets a storefront that pulls people in. You get one itemized price for the whole exterior.
What we restore
- Brick and stone repointing
- Cornices and decorative metal
- Lintels, sills and masonry repairs
- Parapets and coping
What we remake
- Storefront glass and door systems
- Awnings and sign bands
- Exterior paint and finishes
- Lighting and entry upgrades
Restoration done in the right order.
- Structure first
- We check the masonry, lintels and parapets before anything cosmetic. A pretty facade on a failing wall is money wasted.
- Matched materials
- Mortar, brick and trim are matched to the building so the repair disappears instead of standing out.
- Grant-ready scopes
- Many downtown programs help pay for facade work. We write itemized scopes and prices you can submit with an application.
How it works
- 1
Send the address
Tell us about the building. We look at it from the street and from aerial imagery before we visit.
- 2
Walk and price it
We inspect the facade up close and send an itemized written scope with a schedule.
- 3
Restore and sign off
We protect the sidewalk, keep the storefront open where we can, and walk the finished facade with you.
Questions
Do you work on historic buildings?
Yes. Most of downtown Danville was built between the 1870s and the 1920s. We restore original materials where they can be saved and match them where they cannot.
Can the business stay open during the work?
Usually, yes. We phase the work and keep a protected path to the entrance so customers can still get in.
Can you help with a facade grant application?
We can provide the itemized scope, drawings or photos, and written price that most programs ask for. The program decides who is approved and how much it covers.
Do you do residential exteriors?
This page covers commercial and mixed-use buildings. For new homes, see our New Homes page.
Tell us about the building.
Send the address and what the facade needs. We reply within one business day.
